Domain Authorization Letter
This is required only if the Registrant details of the domain as per the Whois record does not match with that of the Organization requesting for the certificate. In such cases, a Domain Authorization Letter (DAL) format will be given by the Certifying Authority to be faxed or emailed by the Registrant of the domain, thereby authorizing the request of the Organization applying for the certificate.
This is required only if the Certifying Authority could not verify the Organization through their trusted third-party source (like DUNS). In such cases, a Proof of Right to do business document (eg: Certificate of Incorporation) needs to be faxed or emailed as supporting document.
Telephone Bill or Notary Attested Letter
This is required when the Certifying Authority could not reach to the Organizational Contact on a telephone number (also from publicly available third-party source) that is linked to the Organization. In such cases, a telephone bill displaying the name, address and telephone number needs to be faxed or emailed. In case a telephone bill is not available, a Notarized Letter (in given format) needs to be faxed or emailed.
Note: Kindly note that the above documentation process may only be used as a reference, and the actual documents required may change and is totally dependent on the Certifying Authority.
